Lyrics: Goddess - Nadine Khouri

For those of you who don't know her, Nadine Khouri is a singer/songwriter of Lebanese origin residing in Europe. You can check out her website on www.nadinekhouri.net to read more about her, listen to her music and buy her albums if you like what you hear.

I thought I'd share the lyrics of her song Goddess - Does anyone know other songs that include the word Reprimand? :)

Goddess
Glides
From the entrance
To the inside
Through uncertain skittles
She slips
She slides

Goddess
Has the club
In her command
Edging off the bar
She sulks
She stands

Cigarette in hand
She blows karma
Into my face
And her eyes
Reprimand
All swayers
Without grace

And if you touch her satin skin
You’ll burn your fingers
And if you dared
Your whole empire would crumble

Goddess
Strides in full view

Goddess
Leaks a sexy mess

That screams:
“To see and to be seen To be the center of the scene.”

On Saturdays and Sundays

I am not really updated my blog. I am finding hard to sit and write, and sending regular detailed e-mails to my friends hasn't been helping.

I guess the first cultural shock has to do with the workweek/weekends, since in Lebanon where I come from, people usually work from Monday to Friday included, and have Saturdays and Sundays days off.
Here, as is the case in most predominatly muslim countries the workweek starts on Sundays, and people have Fridays and Saturdays off, so I am still not used to this.
It isn't a very big deal obviously, just something you have to adapt too.
Saturday was always the day you wake up hungover and take your time to wake up and feel good and ready to party again, or go to the beach and look nice and tanned in the evening outing :)
Now Saturdays hold the kind of laziness and melancholy of Sundays, but enough drama for now.

Intro

Hi and welcome to everyone reading.

I recently moved to Cairo to live and work there, so I thought it was a good time to have my blog where I can share my experiences and thoughts with my friends and virtually anyone else who uses a computer.
